I spoke with the hot ABC23 Weathergirl, Christina Loren and she assured me that these were real fisticuffs she was partaking in with the Bakersfield Condors.

Rumor has it she caused more than one Condor to belly flop on the ice.

Mike Hart Wrestles A Live Teddy Bear! - By N.L. Bobblehead

OK, so I could spend this blog talking about the Condors not winning like they should. But I won't. I'd rather spend my time blaming people like Mikie Seay of Fresno for somehow putting a voodoo whammy on the team. Rumor has it he's got dolls of all the Condors players that he randomly kicks around the house.

So why blame poor defense or bad officiating? I say blame Fresno. We're playing them in a three-game stand beginning Friday, so I might as well start picking on 'em.

In the meantime, check out this video I put together at ABC23 of raining stuffed animals and Mike Hart wrestling a giant live teddy bear!

I'd also like to suggest that the Condors lost that game against Phoenix because some of the players got hit with lead-based stuffed penguins.

Teams have slumps. It happens. But the Condors seem to have a one-goal slump. The coach probably says it's the goalies. Fans might think it's a lack of offense mixed with the occasional defensive blunder.

Maybe it's just the curse of the one goal.

It could happen.

Should I even say more? The question is, will the Condors shake the curse?

It's just a matter of time...

Will the Condors get Wrangled? - By N.L. Bobblehead

I’m not expecting any kind of wrangling unless the Bakersfield Condors do it to themselves. With a 4-6 record, the Condors really aren’t looking so bad after their losing slump. They just seem to be on the losing end of some really close games. Add in some soft goals and the Condors could be sitting with a record as sweet as those pesky Wranglers—you know, that Vegas team I love to hate.

Now I was just talking to Mike Hart (Condors game announcer). I tried blaming all the Condors road losses on him. He would have none of it.

I think both of us just want to see some great passing and goals in the back of the net. Is that too much to ask?

By the way, when did Kevin Bartl get back to Bakersfield? Word on the street is he couldn’t handle scraping ice sludge off his car windows in the morning. I don’t blame him.

Well let’s get ready for the Wranglers. The Condors need our support, and the goalies need to wake up and smell victory. Stay focused, boys.

As for those Fresno Falcon forums I keep hearing about. I’m not going there to read all their anti-Bakersfield madness. I have a tough enough time harassing Mike Seay of the Unofficial Fresno Falcons blog. Check out his latest tirade against the Condors.

And I wouldn't dare go to a Wrangler forum. It's all the same. Just a bunch of talk. We'll let the three-game series against Las Vegas speak for itself. Series begins Wednesday moring at 10:30am.
